Learn: Now we learn about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit is our guide, who helps us to follow Jesus and make good choices.
Video: Watch the video The Holy Spirit Comes to learn the story of Pentecost. That is the day Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to his Disciples to help them spread the news of his Resurrection and build the Church.
Activity: Print the Holy Spirit Crossword Puzzle to learn more about how the Holy Spirit guided the disciples in building the Church. Answers here.

Learn: In Chapter 10 we talk about the Sacrament of Confirmation. In Confirmation we receive the fullness of the Gifts of The Holy Spirit.

Activity: Make a Gifts of The Holy Spirit Banner to learn more about the Gifts we receive in Baptism and are strengthened in Confirmation.
Action: Draw or print these Holy Spirit flames. Think of people who need help or prayers. Write their names on the flames. Pray this short prayer to the Holy Spirit for them. Praying for others builds the Church.

Learn: Jesus gave his disciples a law of love called the New Commandment. The New Commandment sums up the messages of the 4th-6th Commandments. It says we are to respect and honor our neighbors as ourselves.
Love thy neighbor: Jesus' New Commandment is "love one another as I have loved you".
Video: Watch God's Story: The Good Samaritan to hear the parable Jesus told, explaining what it means to love one's neighbor.
Activity: Print and do the Ways to Look at the Fifth Commandment crossword puzzle to learn more about it's meaning. Answers here.
Prayer Video: Use this Lord's Prayer meditation video to examine your conscience to decide if your words and actions show love to God and others.
Action: Choose an activity from the January Family Page to do as a family.

Learn: When we follow the Ten Commandments we are doing God's will. Jesus' mother is an example for us. She accepted God's Will when she was asked to be the mother of God, she said "YES!"
Respond: Use the Commandments #4-#6 Sheet to read Commandments 4th-6th (in blue) and what they mean to a 4th Grader. What is one thing you can try and do this week to follow one of these commandments?
Game: Play Stump the Shepherd. This is a fun "Jeopardy-like" game that you can play alone or with three family members. Good luck!
