Learn: Jesus is the second member of the Holy Trinity. We learn Jesus is Divine (He is God's son) and human (born of Mary). We learn of the Paschal Mystery: Jesus' suffering, death, Resurrection and Ascension into heaven which saved us from our sins.
Video: Watch God's Story: Jesus to learn more about Jesus' life and Jesus being both God and man.
Activity: Print the Jesus: Human and Divine Word Search to learn more about Jesus' Incarnation and the Paschal mystery. Answer Key here.
Game: Click to do an Interactive Puzzle of an image of Jesus. What do you think Jesus looked like? Many artists have tried to paint the face of Jesus. Draw your own picture of Jesus.
Action: Jesus is our role model. Jesus showed us how to live and care for others. Think of good qualities of a role model (caring, good listener, patient). What can you do this week to be a role model to others?

Learn: In Chapter 6 we learn about the Sacrament of Baptism. At Baptism we are joined to Jesus and welcomed in the Catholic Church.

Activity: Use this Baptismal Promises Renewal sheet to show your family how to renew their Baptismal Promises. View your family photos of each person's Baptism.
Connection to Mass: When we enter Church and dip our fingers in Holy Water, we are reminded of our Baptism. During Mass when we pray the Nicene Creed, we are renewing the baptismal promises our parents and godparents made for us.
Prayer Video: Listen and and pray along to the Nicene Creed video to understand it's meaning and it's connection to our baptismal promises.

Learn: In Chapter 7 we read about Jesus as a teacher. Jesus taught us to be truly happy forever in the Kingdom of God we must follow the Ten commandments and live The Beatitudes. The word Beatitude means "blessed" or "happy".
Video: Watch God's Story: Sermon on the Mount to hear the story of Jesus teaching us how to find true happiness in God's kingdom.
Activity: Print and do God's Kingdom puzzle to find Jesus' message. Answers here.
Respond: Read Living The Beatitudes Today on page 92 of your Workbook for a "Today's Meaning" of each Beatitude.
Prayer Video: Pray the Prayer of St. Francis. This is a beautiful quiet meditation on a prayer of peace.
Service: The message of the Beatitudes is peace, fairness and justice. Look at the SJC website for some service ideas for your family to do together.
Action: Choose an Activity from the November Family Page to do as a family.

Learn: Chapter 8 contains a parable about God's Justice. We learn that God's justice is not always the same as ours. Jesus told this parable to teach an important message about how God treats us.
Video: Watch the short video Payday at the Vineyard to learn more about the meaning of the Parable.
Meaning of the Parable: What do you think Jesus wanted to teach us? (Answer: Jesus' message is that everyone is treated equally by God.) The reward of heaven is the same for all who follow God, whether they were an early follower (disciple) or someone who came later (like us).
Game: Play the Interactive Word Search related to God's kingdom called "Word Find Words of Faith".
Music Video: Sing along with the Make of Me an Instrument to remind us to show love toward others.
