Learn: Jesus tells a story to his followers about God's love. Jesus lets them know that God takes care of all creations, and God promises to take care of all of us.

Bible: This story is from the Bible. The Bible has two other names. It is called the Word of God, because it is God speaking to us in the Bible. It is also called Sacred Scripture, which means "holy writings".

Learn: People like to hear stories. To really understand a story we must be good listeners.
Video: Watch Story Time: The Seed Sower. This parable teaches that we can't just hear the Word of God we must also listen, to really understand the meaning.

Prayer Video: Pray along with the Apostles' Creed video. The images help us understand the meaning of the prayer.
Activity: Print and try the Beliefs in the Creed puzzle to learn more about the Creed. Answers on page 2 of the link.
Connection to Mass: At Mass we hear the Word of God when we listen to the Readings and the Gospel. When we pray the Creed, we pray what we believe.

Works of Mercy: Kind acts are called Works of Merch. Jesus said, when we do something kind for another person, it is the same as doing something kind for Him.
Activity: Print the The Works of Mercy sheet to see ways you can show love and care to others. Answers here.

Craft: Make a Saintly Puppet. Saints are holy people who acted on God's Word.
Service: You can Act on God's Word and do service. Service is helping someone in need. Look on the SJC website for ideas of what you and your family can do together.
Prayer Video: Learn the Guardian Angel Prayer. Your guardian angel watches over you and keeps you close to God.

Learn: Jesus taught us ways to pray. One way to pray is with a prayer of petition. A prayer of petition is where we pray for our own needs and the needs of others. At the Last Supper meal, Jesus prayed to God to keep his disciples safe.
