Learn: Jesus teaches us to thank God the Father for His love. Sunday Mass is a prayer of thanks to God for His love.
Video: Watch Jesus Heals a Blind Beggar. What did the blind man do after Jesus healed him? The blind man gave praise to God. Giving praise is like saying a big "Thank You God!"
Faith Blooms: Talk with your child about being thankful. Ask them what they are thankful for. Ask them where they feel thankful. Maybe it's at school for their teachers, at home for their family and their love. Let them know they can be thankful to God for His love anytime and everywhere.

Learn: Jesus had celebrations with His friends. We all love celebrations. One place we can celebrate God’s love is at Mass where we celebrate with our Church family.
Faith Blooms: Ask your child how they feel when they go to a celebration. Say: What do you like to do when we celebrate? With whom do you like to celebrate? What special foods do you like to eat when we celebrate? At Mass we celebrate with Jesus. The priest helps us pray at Mass and celebrate God's love for us.

Book Video: Watch The Surprise Party by Pat Hutchins that tells the story of a party that almost doesn’t take place. It introduces the word “celebration” and that thankful and prayerful people celebrate.

Learn: The more we help and care for others, we live God’s love. We can show our love for Jesus by helping others.
Faith Blooms: Remind your child that at the end of Mass, the priest says, “Go in peace.” We respond, “Thanks be to God.” Explain that the priest is asking us to be peacemakers and to help others, just as Jesus did. When we respond, we are promising to try to care for others as Jesus did and we are thankful for all of God’s gifts to us.
Activity: Tear out and make the My Mass Book booklet on pages 102-103 of the Workbook.
