Altmayr SP
Designed over 40 years ago, the Altmayr SP stood in contrast to other pistol shotguns of the time: where they were first built as rifle-sized weapons and then cut down to a more compact format, the Altmayr SP was built from the ground up to be a pistol-sized option. It also ignored the typical "complicated German engineering" stereotype, its detachable tube magazine able to be replaced with stick or drum magazines produced by several companies, purchased separately if the user felt the tube shape was too finicky. After the death of its creator, the Altmayr SP has re-entered production as the Altmayr SP "Classic" and is available by Matrix order.

Altmayr SPX
The update to Altmayr's flagship shotgun - the Altmayr SP - which as popularized in the infamous UCAS trogsploitation trid "Null Zone," on full display in lead actor Georg Götzinger's gold-plated cyberhands. The SPX2 changes it up by having an exterior optional pump-action and a non-detachable tube magazine. It still retains the internal mechanism for automatic fire, but the Altmayr SPX has not waned in popularity at all thanks to the ability to easily and quickly clear jams. This has made it an immediate hit among larger metatypes, leading the ones who can afford it to lug it around as a glorified pistol shotgun and fire it off one-handed.

Altmayr SPX2
The Altmayr SPX2 was introduced in the same year as the Altmayr Black Moon heavy pistol and only just a few years after the introduction of the SPX in 2075. If the SPX was already able to score sales through various trideo appearances, then the SPX2 was able to drive those sales straight up once more. Mostly changing from a visual aspect and a return to the Altmayr SP's straight pistol grip, it no longer carries a pump-action on the exterior and instead has its own internal electronically active pump-action that allows for shots in quick succession and has been received as an "unnecessary technical gimmick" which currently leaves it at the bottom of the pack in terms of sales.

Altmayr SPX4
For over 40 years the Altmayr shotguns have stood for reliability, effectiveness, and affordability in urban warfare across the globe with criminals, gang members, medium-sized security forces, shadowrunners and even scared little wage slaves looking for a home defense weapon. After the passing of Alfred Altmayr and the passing of the company to his more progressive son Konrad Altmayr, a NeoNET alumni, the Altmayr catalogue has innovated substantially. Released in 2082, the Altmayr SPX4 has transformed the playing field with the detachable helical magazine and laser sight, increasing ammunition capacity by 50% and helping shooters keep their target on track without breaking the bank.

Ares "Armatus"
A relatively recent and experimental "laser shotgun" produced by Ares, this laser weapon uses a beam splitter to fire an array of smaller lasers rather than a single large, cohesive beam. This weapon has been seen in limited use in Ares Firewatch teams across North America, specifically in Detroit and Chicago but has not been released for sale outside of the military arms market. Those that people do find available on the street are of the "dropped once, never fired" quality.

Benelli M8 Super 100
The successor to the M4 Super 90, the M8 Super 100 is the Italian fine dining of automatic shotguns. When the M4 Super 90 became too long in the tooth post-Euro Wars, Benelli decided to rebuild their famous shotgun with the modern market in mind. The frame itself resembles its predecessor on purpose, with advanced plasteel and other composite materials contributing to a well-balanced weight despite hollowed out areas made to store firearms electronics such as a smartgun system. It has retained its popularity in various countries with a wide scope of police, military, and corporate security forces for its ease of use, repair, and customization potential.

The weapon was built only in limited numbers each year from 2030 to 2056 and was available with a wide range of unique design features including mother-of-pearl inlays, precious metals coatings, and exotic woods or gravures by renown artists. Blunderbuss
In every slum and crisis region in the world there are weapons that are made of trash for protection. Even less fantastical and tailor-made than the Street Sweeper, this scrapbuilt weapon is glued, riveted, nailed, and screwed together with pure trash. Wooden slats, pipes, and tin cans are affixed and crudely welded. These noisemakers litter trash piles in the Barrens and are held close by those who live near ghouls and critters mostly as a deterrent. You only get one shot with a Barrens-style blunderbuss and depending on what you jam down the muzzle.

Colt MS-27
With the rise of the "assault shotgun" concept, Colt got in on the act in 2080 by releasing an assault shotgun version of their classic M-23. Called the MS-27, the entire weapon frame was re-tooled to accommodate standard 12-gauge shotgun shells and then reinforced to handle recoil and stress. The result is a solid overall weapon capable of up to fully automatic fire. Those familiar with the M-23/23A2 system can easily transition to the MS-27 with little or no training. In fact, both lines share several of the same parts which has made field repair and overall logistics simpler.

Defiance T-280
This break-action, over-under shotgun was made primarily for beginner shooters of larger metatype. While Defiance has never put a dangerous weapon on the market, the advertising of the T-800 as a "troll's handgun" by many secondhand sellers and the low market price has given an unfair reputation to an otherwise solid, budget option.

Defiance T-285
Starting out as a project by one of Defiance's gunsmiths and intended as a gag gift for the CEO, word of a "secret new project" reached the ears of a corporate spy who quickly attempted to acquire the non-existent specs, only finding a crude napkin sketch of a tri-barrel, pistol-gripped, break-action shotgun. The images ended up on the Matrix and Defiance quickly drew up proper specs for copyright purposes and began a limited production run that ran out in short order. After the second, third, and forth all sold out. Considered a novelty, the T-285 is nothing more than a sawn-off T-280 with three barrels welded together in a pyramid formation. Manual switches behind the barrel-break control the number of shots fired (one, two, or all three).

Enfield AS-7c
Slightly weaker than its mainline counterpart, The AS-7c is known as the "tanker's model" thanks to its use in the Euro Wars. While deployed forces seldom used the drum magazines the compact features, ease of use, and general capabilities made this one of western Europe's primary go-to guns even if slightly skeletonized frame was flimsier and the metal folding stock was often wrapped in old socks to prevent it from cutting a user's cheek. It misses the mark on the AS-7's spotless design and use but that doesn't stop people from wanting a shotgun that can auto fire, even if it's not as good as its big sibling.

Ithaca Model 37 Centennial
Released in 2037, the Centennial update to the venerable Model 37 keeps the spirit of a long-barreled hunting shotgun well and alive, even if it's been co-opted on the street by more gangers than anyone can count. This remarkably no-frills shotgun does not contain any electronics, any advanced features, and few true modernizing features. What it does contain is a 100% real wood stock, metal body and parts. It currently sits on many a rack or wall between hunting trips as a conversation piece but some enterprising souls that steal one find that it'll do the job just fine if that job is killing metahumans.

Ithaca's most recent release, the Deer Slayer has been continously upgraded, rebuilt, and thrown into limited production runs throughout the years. As their primary hunting shotgun, the Deer Slayer V has had some major redesigns to reduce its heft and weight for both beginner hunters and experienced ones who prefer to trundle off into the wilderness without carrying around an extremely heavy, long hunting shotgun. Despite the reduced weight the Deer Slayer V suffers no accuracy or recoil detriments and is considered the best in the Deer Slayer line yet, not just for its lovely walnut stock but due to its genuinely good field performance.

Ithaca Crass 60
This new update of the 1888 "Crass Model" designed by Frederick Crass, this is the fourth major redesign of the Crass frame. While not a historical piece by any means, the engravings and wood furniture give it a look of stature. Released in a limited production bath in 2060, the Crass 60 is popular with hunters and sports shooters due to the excellent auto-ejectors in the break-action which are graded as some of the best in the sports shooting world. It has also found an alarming popularity in the Dakotas among ex-UCAS citizens who still live in the recently annexed North Dakota due to its alarmingly fast breakdown and ability to be hidden on one's person without a majorly visible profile.

Krime "Boom"
So, Old Man Krime was playing around in his workshop one day when he figured out how to make a Remington Roomsweeper fire on full-auto and thought "Damn nice but it needs more rounds!" Actually, his first thought was making sure Claire, who worked on the other side of his wall, was okay and her tough troll hide had indeed stopped the buckshot! Then he figured that it needed more rounds. After obtaining a license from Remington, Krime introduced the Krime Boom - a troll-sized longarm that holds an amazing TWENTY shotgun shells in its integrated dual tube magazine and fires with full-auto fury. Most other automatics will suppress a room - the Krime Boom suppresses the WHOLE FRAGGING HOUSE!!!

Krime's recent addition into the "assault shotgun" category has more or less been a resounding failure due to market saturation, Krime's low quality control, and the known issue of the faux wood plastic hand guards melting after a fully fired drum in quick succession. It's also known for its terrible rifling which leads to a severely reduced range. Despite this, it's cheap and readily available and made for trolls - so who really gives a drek about QA when Old Man Krime's favorite people will be using it regardless?

Onotari Arms "Shark"
Onotari Arms seldom designs for the civilian market. Most of their firearms adhere strictly to a developmental adage of "build it for a corp cop." While the Onotari Arms "Shark" is not truly different in that regard, Onotari Arms allowed it to be put into the action-romance trid "Wild Youth." In the hands of the heroine, Bridgette Tonra, the Shark was painted with literal shark jaws and exacted vigilante justice on the streets of Detroit against a corrupt, corporate-owned police department with hilariously poorly concealed visual and thematic similarities to Ares and Knight Errant. Since then, the Shark has exploded in popularity thanks to a generous price drop for what appears to be a solid, if feature-lacking, shotgun.

Treated with the same tender care and high-quality workmanship and quality control of the regular Model 75, the PJSS Model 75-III is for the discerning huntsperson who demands more bang for their buck - literally. The only defining feature of this model is that there is a third barrel underneath the primary pair, giving it an "upside down pyramid" shape. Thanks to the muskin and mushroom cap artificial leather recoil pad, however, recoil is noted to be discernably the same.

Ranger Arms Auto-Assault 16 "Warhammer"
Several years ago, Ranger Arms bought the rights to the renown AA-16 Assault Shotgun. The consensus at the time was they had just obtained a gold mine of sales - and that turned out to be the case. Considered to be the pinnacle of assault shotguns, the AA-16 - AKA "Warhammer" - is a heavy-hitting, short-to-medium range and full-auto capable weapons platform that comes with an internal smartgun system and foregrip. Maintenance is also incredibly easy as the firing mechanisms and bolt actions are constructed from a chrome/stainless steel alloy that resists all but the most extreme grime and dirt buildup. While Ranger Arms is making money hand over fist producing the Warhammer, their production lines are severely backlogged. This has made the weapon a hot commodity on the streets and black markets.

Easy to maintain, comfortable to shoot, and with plenty of space for customization, the 900 Tactical has been designed for a more tactically minded shooter who requires a larger number of rounds than what just a magazine tube can provide, with Lone Star picking up a limited contract on them when the firearm was first released despite their long-standing exclusivity contract with Cavalier Arms.

Remington 995 "Buzzsaw"
A variant of their classic 990 shotgun, the 995 "Buzzsaw" has gained a reputation as being a simple yet reliable and rugged entry gun. Currently a favorite among Lone Star's Shadowriders, the 995 has a pistol grip in place of the standard stock. What makes the 995 an effective door-breacher is the barrel-mounted titanium teeth that prevent the weapon from skipping when fired against a door hinge or onto a lock... the teeth also hurt when jammed into someone's hands or neck, as many Lone Star officers have proven during close-quarters raids.

The Street Sweeper functions similarly to an old-fashioned musket and must be manually loaded with each shot with condensed black powder cubes. TEC 603 "Bull"
Known as the "European Remington," the TEC 603 is a pump-action shotgun popular with street samurai and enthusiasts alike. Known for use at longer ranges and seldom used with such close quarters vigor as other shotguns, it comes pre-installed with a x6 magnification scope, an uncomfortable and brittle plastic folding stock, and even has a redundant pump-action to clear any jams. Despite the sub-par folding stock, the Bull has endured and sales have been consistent in the North American and European markets since its introduction in 2068.

Techno Arms PTY MAG-7 "Persuader"
Originally developed as a close quarters weapon in the mid-1990's, the MAG-7 "Persuader" is the most recent iteration of the strange yet iconic design that hails from southern Africa. In general, the MAG-7 appears much like an enlarged Uzi with a box magazine located inside of the pistol grip that load special 60mm long shotgun shells. Major complaints with the MAG-7 have remained due to the weapon not seeing major redesign in almost 90 years but despite this it's popular among those who want a short, easy-to-control pump-action shotgun.

Techno Arms PTY M7 Dual Riot
Due to the unique pump-action mechanism on the MAG-7, the Dual Riot carries a unique top-mounted grenade launcher. It was developed for the perceived need of riot police and other law enforcement officers using the uniquely compact MAG-7 and needing a little more 'oomph.' That oomph came in the form of a single tube 20mm grenade launcher, intended for use with flashbangs, tear gas, and smoke grenades. It also came in the form of an aluminum composite stock with a single slab of synthetic rubber for a user's cheek, as the prototype Dual Riot was noted for cutting a user's cheek during grenade fire.

Wirtz SW3i Demolition Control
Another gem from the small German arms manufacturer Wirtz, the SW3i was intended for police sale, yet it lost out on several contracts miserably. When it seemed like it was all but destined to be thrown onto the pit an anarchist collective in East Berlin purchased licensing for it and ordered 300 of the shotguns. Wirtz wasn't in a position to stick their nose up at the nuyen and the "Demolition Control" stockless shotguns spread like a plague, with nearly every shadowrun in the Berlin area having doors breaked by the reddish-brown, box-magazine fed breaching shotguns. On the bright side? They got as much weapon data as they needed for future endeavors and near the end of the most recent production run they broke even on the SW3i.
