Micro Drones
Micro Drones range between the size of a human thumbnail and a whole thumb.

Saeder-Krupp's Britain-based subsidiary ATT hit the market running in the 2050's with the introduction of the Spinne. This sturdy, quad-legged crawler drone is known for being able to cross even the most difficult terrain and has been the de rigeur in surveillance circles for years. The only drawback is that the Spinne is certainly showing it's age, as while ATT has upgraded the technology inside to be of this decade, it still handles like a drone from thirty years ago to many who are accustomed to the more sensitive and responsive drones of today.

Armaments Éireann-Tir - or AET - is a lesser-known A-rated Tír na nÓg corporation that makes nearly every type weapon and drone, although few of their iterations are very notable beyond being a touch heavier and bulkier. One of their most widely available offerings is the "Luch," the heaviest Micro Drone on the market which is roughly the size and shape of a cockroach. The Luch's heaviness is due to it's comparative bulk and resilience which has made the Luch popular among Search and Rescue teams for its ability to withstand some punishment.

The Esprit Industries "Smartie" was designed from the ground-up for operation in military theaters as a distraction. Capable of providing realistic-sounding gunfire and troop movements via it's speaker system. It's primary claim on its market share is the inherent and proprietary Pilot software that allows it to traverse and operate in a theater without direct oversight.

The NoizQuito was developed as a flying micro drone with a few special tricks. Visually similar to a mosquito, the body of the drone can only house a small number of features. The most prevalent and obvious of these features is the speaker system. The drone can blast sounds as loud as 160 decibels (which is the volume of high-end race cars), which are used to produce distractions and possibly even minor ear damage in hose unfortunate enough to be near the drone when it activates. Additionally, the drone’s wings and body are covered in small LEDs that are powerful enough to produce blinding levels of light in a bewildering array of strobe patterns.

Notes:
When activated, the strobes impose a -2 penalty to all actions by those who are currently looking in the direction of the drone. This penalty is reduced to -1 if the target has Flare Compensation.
The speakers impose a -2 penalty to all actions by those within earshot of the drone, which is lessened to -1 for those with a Sound Damper system.
If there are multiple drones acting as a group, the penalties are cumulative for each drone (meaning that if three drones are working as one, the target can take as much as a -12 penalty to all actions).
Tiny and slow but indistinguishable from an insect without a microscope or vision magnification, the Gnat is often used in MCT's Zero Zones, where a swarm of them all carry DMSO/Narcoject mini-Slap Patches on their feet and then land en masse on a target.

Developed for use in high-depth scenarios - for a micro drone, anyway - the Mitsuhama Minnow has an upgraded piloting program when compared to its main competitor, the NeoNET Pinkeens, due to the possibility of signal interruption from operators above the waterline when the Minnow is operating in it's deepest operational depths.

While exceptionally rare (although still produced in small quantities due to demand) after the fall and piecemeal sale of NeoNet, the Pinkeens is a very small, fish-like submersible drone that is mostly banked on for it's appearance to a fish. Without closer inspection via some sort of image magnification, it typically passes the test of looking like a very small fish.

The Kagemusha's main claim to fame is it's capability for deception. Equipped with a high-powered speaker system, it often is deployed in areas where one wants to make it seem like a lot of heavily armed people are having an encounter. Despite it's aging design, Shiawase's signature quality is present in the Kagemusha's latest iteration which doubles down on it's ability to enter and exit stealthily thanks to decades of research and design focused on making the Kagemusha as discreet as possible.

This four-legged crawler drone looks like a normal insect at first glance. Great for penetrating secure facilities with its pointed extremities and light weight. It has the problem of decreased range to minimize transmissions but offsets that with a brighter than average Pilot system. Extremely fragile, a finger or the pulse of a tag eraser will easily render this thing inoperable.

About the size and shape of a bottlecap, the Microskimmer XXS flies via very weak hoverjets. Its larger cousins - the frisbee-sized miniskimmer and trash can lid sized skimmer - have an interesting stacking feature that allows the three to be loaded into a single drone rack slot that holds the largest in the family.

Despite its name, the Smokecloud does not actually carry a smoke dispenser - still, its mission is that of a real smoke cloud, to discourage and delay pursuit. Its speed is rather low, but a high gear ratio and large wheels make sure that it will get where it needs to be eventually. Once it has moved or being placed into its intended position, it can be activated to use its distraction equipment: a high-quality speaker capable of mimicking any firearm currently on the market, from small handouts to large assault cannons, and a second speaker system to create the impression of a large body of soldiers. Due to its small size its duration of operation is only about 10 minutes, but within this time window it can create enough noise to masquerade as a whole combat platoon, belligerent and armed to the teeth.
