Focus Book: The Flash [3]

Focus phonemes: or, ee, ng

Read The Flash [3] book (twice), the practise page and fluency chart again today.

Try to read smoothly like you are talking (no robot voice).

Writing

I can describe a fairy tale character.

WANTED: One Naughty Troll!

The naughty troll is back, and he wants to eat those poor Three Billy Goats Gruff again.

Make a WANTED poster to show what the troll looks like. You need to write some information about him too.

Challenge

Write some extra information about the troll using describing words.

Maths

I can identify digital clocks.

Time to put your Maths brain on.

Digital clocks are different to analogue clocks. Digital clocks display numbers to show the time.

1.Talk to an adult about where you have seen digital clocks.

2. Go for a walk around your house and look for any in the bedroom, kitchen, lounge room or even in the laundry.

3. In your workbook draw as many places as you can where you found a digital clock.

I have a digital clock on my mobile phone.

Challenge

Choose 2 pictures to write a sentence about where the digital clock is found.

Geography

We are discussing Taking Care of Places

  1. Choose a part of your house.

  2. Take a photo or draw a picture of this place.

  3. Write down or video what you do to show that you care for this place.

Upload your work to Seesaw.

Example:

I take care of the kitchen. I put rubbish and food scraps in the bin. I wipe the bench tops. I put dishes away.
