Read The Flash [2] book (twice), the practise page and fluency chart again today.

Try to read smoothly like you are talking (no robot voice).

Sound out any tricky words using a whisper voice or try to be really clever and sound them out in your head.

Is this book too hard or too easy?

You can:

Writing

I can sequence the main parts of a story.

We are learning about Fairy Tales.

Watch this video of 'The Three Little Pigs'.

In your workbook, draw a map of the story.

  • Start with the three little pigs leaving their mum.

  • Draw what happens next.

  • Connect each part of your story with a path or line.

  • The last part of your map will be about the wolf trying to blow down the strong house of bricks.

If you have access to a printer you could print this sequencing activity.

Challenge

Add words or sentences to your map.

Maths

I can use my prior knowledge to compare and describe heavier and lighter objects.

Time to put your Maths brain on.

Mass describes how heavy or light an object is. Mass can be described and compared.

When an object is heavy, it is hard to move or lift.

When an object is light, it is easy to pick up, hold and move.

Explicit mini lesson for this activity has been posted on Seesaw.

Now let’s compare.

The elephant is heavier than the mouse.

The mouse is lighter than the elephant.

1. Watch the Seesaw video

2. Complete your task in your workbooks.

3. Post a photo of your completed work on Seesaw.

Challenge

Explore your house - what 5 objects can you find that are lighter than your school bag?

Technology

Dress for the weather

The weather changes each day but it usually follows a pattern to match the seasons.

In Summer you might get lots of sunny days, in Winter you might get lots of cold days.

In Spring and Autumn (sometimes called Fall) you might get different weather patterns.

Practise dressing for the seasons with this fun game about weather. If you dress too warm or too cool, you will have to try again. Good luck!

Well done for finishing another great day of learning!

Remember to say thank you to anyone who helped you.

Now is a great time to go outside and be active!
