To complete today's activities, you will need:
Phonics

Turn the verbs from Monday’s word list into present tense verbs (add -ing).
Don’t panic if you haven’t thought of enough verbs – just think of some more and add -ing.

This time he wants to stay up late!
Can you think of some reasons for your parents to let you stay up late?
Write down 4 reasons to try and convince them.

Today your task is to write a procedure for making an ice cream sundae.
First you need a title and an ingredients list for your procedure.
Now you are going to write clear steps for the method of your procedure.
Remember to start each step with a verb.

TENS Game - Dice Target
Pick your level.
Play for 5-10 minutes before your maths task.
You will need:
Dice
Counters (such as dry pasta, lego blocks, paper clips, etc.)
Whiteboard and marker (or paper and a pencil)
Roll one die. Say the number on the die and get counters to match that number. Write the number on a whiteboard.
Roll 2 dice. Cover one die and add together. Write number sentence on a whiteboard.
Using the number 9 as a starting number, roll a die and add the number shown. Write number sentence on a whiteboard.
Using 15 as the target number, students aim to get as close as possible by using addition or subtraction. Roll a die 4 times. Players can choose whether to add or subtract the number rolled to total closest to the target as possible. Write number sentence on whiteboard.
Using 21 as the target number, students aim to get as close as possible by using addition or subtraction. Roll a die 5 times. Players can choose whether to add or subtract the number rolled to total closest to the target as possible. Write number sentence on whiteboard.

You will need:
3 balloons filled with air.
When the timer starts you need to keep all three balloons in the air by only using your hands.
Try and use just one hand if you can.
If you are competing against someone then see who can do it for the longest.
Otherwise you have a minute to win it!
