The Boy and the Fish
The boy so young
With a question he was stung
With curiosity he did glow
About truth—he wanted to know
Straight he went to his mother
Who was cooking for him and his brother
“I am rather busy preparing a feast
Go and ask the wise old priest”
To the priest the boy then went
“Please tell Sir, by truth what is meant?”
“See, I am eating my dainty dish
Why don’t you go and ask the fish”
To the pond the boy then ran
Where the fish lived with her clan
“Fish O fish! Fish O fish!”
Fast the boy expressed his wish
“I will answer your question for sure
My boy, please worry no more”
As the fish assured the boy
He was instantly filled with joy
“But great thirst I feel
First fetch me a glass of water with zeal”
“What! What do you say?
Surrounded by water you ever stay”
“Oh! that’s what I mean”
The fish said to the boy so very keen
“Surrounded by truth you ever live
And to yourself only you may give”
