Happiness

Boy O boy

I was in search of joy

So things I amassed

But the pleasure didn’t last

In search of thrill

I scaled the summit of that distant hill

It was not worth the trouble

Fleeting it was like a soap-bubble

In search of bliss

Pride I didn’t miss

But the coin was fake

Like a bitter cake

Got everything I desired

But my feet got tired

When I could no longer move forward

I turned inward

In friendship I found glee

In gratitude I could see

In creativity it flows

In prayer it grows
