Time and Law

Law is temporal

To change is moral

Time tests every law

And finds its flaw

With time law must move

Only then in truth it will groove

If law makes friends with time

Only then with justice it will rhyme

Even a law embossed in sacred stone

By the winds of time is sure to be blown

Time and tide wait for none

With an obsolete law, justice can never be done

So make amends

Before its validity ends

The old remedy doesn’t heal

When the malady has a new zeal

In the hobo style

Stay only for a while

Always shift and roam

As they have no permanent home

Law is a constant endeavour

Can’t settle forever

For a while to perch

Then fly away in search
