The Center for Natural Sciences and Resource Research (CNSRR) is a newly created center, which integrated the areas of life and physical sciences to promote scientific advancement. It includes research, but not limited, to the following areas:


(1) agriculture;

(2) biotechnology;

(3) natural product chemistry;

(4) food science and nutrition;

(5) biodiversity and conservation; and

(6) environmental science.


CNSRR is composed of four (4) laboratories located namely, (1) Phycology Laboratory; (2) Microbiology and Parasitology Laboratory; (3) Mini-Food Laboratory and (4) PUP Herbarium. At present, the center is headed by a chief, who is a faculty designee while the first four laboratories are led by a laboratory supervisor holding concurrent positions (as director and chief) whilst the PUP Herbarium with a faculty volunteer.
