INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION
We strive for Gender Equality through conducting Gender Responsive Activity. The Center for Gender Training and Advocacy (CGTA) is responsible for seminars, capacity-building workshops, and trainings including advocacy activities that are focused on the organization (teaching and non-teaching personnel) and its clients (students and industry partners in extension projects) promoting GAD through gender mainstreaming. The center is also open for collaboration with other Universities, LGU and NGO’s in mainstreaming gender and development.
To capacitate GFPS, advocates, employees on how to effectively mainstream gender and development in the university.
To integrate gender and development in the policies, programs, and processes of the University, its branches, and campuses for the general welfare of the organization and its clients through gender mainstreaming in the operations, academics, research, and extension sector of the university.
To serve as standard in the conduct of gender mainstreaming and to ensure easy and effective facilitation of the program.
This procedure starts from the submission of gender mainstreaming activities (GMA) proposals/requests, evaluation, and review by the institute, request of S.O., implementation of the program up to the submission of post-activity reports. This process manual shall be adopted by the Institute of Gender and Development (IGAD) under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Planning, and Development.
Gender Mainstreaming Activity (GMA) - refers to activities or advocacy campaigns including programs that are meant to enhance the abilities of GFPS, advocates, employees on how to effectively mainstream gender and development in the university. It also includes activities that promote gender sensitivity and responsiveness in the academe, research, and extension sector, including PUP branches and campuses.
GMA Record - refers to letters and other attachments relevant to the event including registration forms, evaluation forms, and copy of S.O.
GMA Output – refers to data gathered, research proposal, and other research product as a result of GMA.
GMA Materials – are lecture and other advocacy materials used in the GMA.
