RESEARCH LINKAGES
JOINT COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH PROJECTS
There was no joint/collaborative research project between government and private institutions. However, there is an on-going talk for internally funded research together with the foreign author(s) from Taylor’s University.
PATENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Out of 154 copyrights, there were 37 ongoing processing of registration with the National Library of the Philippines. (See Appendix 1). As seen in figure 1, there is no available data for 2021.
RESEARCH PRODUCTION
There was a total of 89 research productions for the 6-year period. Out of 89, there are only 31 papers with full papers and 1 ongoing research (See Appendix 2.1: List of Research Production and Appendix 2.2: List of production without full paper.) As can be seen in figure 2, there was a 6.67 percent increase in research production for the year 2021 as compared to the 2020 base year.
As can be seen in table 1, There was a 100 percent increase in research production engaged by the instructor level as compared to 2020, however based on the data of 2016 to 2019 it is drastically declining the participation of the instructor level. This is due to the fact that majority of the instructor level already been elevated to Assistant Professor Level. The majority of the faculty who are engaged in producing research are holding a rank of Associate Professor with a ratio of 0.67 while maintaining the number of faculty participating in research production. Based on 2020 data, there was a 12.50% increase in research participation among faculty for the year 2021.
RESEARCH PRESENTATION
As illustrated in figure 3, there was an exponential increase in research presentation with 266.67 percent. For the 6-year period, the college participated in a paper presentation with a total of 40. See Appendix 3: Summary List of Research Presentation
As seen in table 2, 67 percent of faculty holding the rank of Associate Professor were engaged in research presentations at various national and international conferences. It is also illustrated in the table that 43 percent of the faculty holding the rank of assistant professor were also involved in research dissemination. The majority of the faculty holding an Associate Professor level are consistently involved in the research and development cycle, particularly in presentation. Based on the data, there was a total of 8 faculty members involved in the research presentation, or a 166.67 percent increase from the base year of 2020.
RESEARCH PUBLICATION
Figure 4 depicts the research publication of the college for the 6-year period (2016-2021). With a total of 9, the College only produced published research by year 2019. There was a 25 percent decrease in growth rate from 2019 to 2020, and a 33.33 percent decrease in growth rate from 2020 to 2021. Table 4 below is the list of published research papers with the corresponding indexing platforms and links.
As can be seen in table 3, the College was only engaged in research publication in Scopus, Web of Science, and other peer-reviewed journals in the year 2019. As illustrated in the table, 43 percent of faculty holding a rank of Assistant Professor level were engaged in research publication while 33 percent of the faculty holding a rank of Associate Professor level were able to publish their research work. Further, the data revealed that there was an increase of 66.67 percent in faculty participation in research publications.
RESEARCH CITATION
As depicted in Table 5 the College only recorded research citation for the year 2020, since the College only published research works in the year 2019. Further, only those faculty holding Associate Professor level has recorded research citations for 2-year period. It can also be seen, that there is a 33.33 percent decrease in faculty ratio for 2021 with 2020 as the based year.
