RIST ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The Research Institute for Science and Technology (RIST) integrates holistic programs to implement various strategies in pursuing science and technology research in the field of life science, physical science, mathematics, engineering, computing, and information science. It promotes scientific consciousness and produce relevant research and development expertise in the academe. Thus, developing indigenous, scientific, and technological advancement in accordance with the university’s goal towards the advancement of social and capital innovation.
The general function of the institute is to formulate and implement plans, programs and strategies for science and technology through research and development. Specifically, its four specific functions are (1) conduct of research, (2) establishing linkages and collaborations, (3) evaluation, publication, and promotion of research and (4) research training and extension.
To promote the Science and Technology research agenda of the university through the conduct of lectures, seminars, colloquia, workshops, and symposia;
To formulate and implement plans, programs, and strategies for science and technology through research and development;
To undertake and/or supervise science and technology research funded internally or by nationally and/or international funding institutions;
To disseminate research results thru publications to local, national, and/or international conferences or fora;
To mentor and assist Science and Technology Researchers (from inside and outside the university) through consultancies and sharing the use of the research laboratory.
