Explorers on Expedition

I am a strong believer of letting the great outdoors be our teacher. However, I had the privilege to run an MOC course with a fantasy framing with CX, which we call: Explorers on Expedition.

Taking advice from past explorers' experience, completing quests throughout the course, taking ownership of their watch and fleet, our young explorers were on their journey to (literally) unlock different parts of the map to find the ULTIMATE TREASURE.

We tried a few variations listed below:

- Watch Flag: The two watches created their own flag, which is ultimately their team charter

- Roles of individuals in a ship

- The captains (Capt Jack Sparrow & Captain Drake) were their mentor and resource to help them in the journey.

- The SandPiper was their mother ship, The Black Pearl

The list is non-exhaustive.

We have discovered that this Framing has a very strong buy-in and the participants who didn't want to be here were disheartened that the programme is nearing the end. Allowing them to tear (unlock and explore) the tape from the map helps to push them further and are motivated to unlock more portions of the map. Throughout the course, the two ships were always looking out for one another.
