Margaret Dorrell

Margaret Dorrell (nee Margaret Day) was born in Vancouver in 1913. She was educated at Cecil Rhodes School at 14th and Oak Street and graduated from King Edward High School. She then entered nurse's training at Vancouver General Hospital and graduated as a registered nurse. In 1934, she married Reginald Dorrell and had three children. They lived in Bridge River after their marriage, but they moved to North Vancouver during the 1930s and lived there until the commencement of World War II. After the war they settled in Toronto. Mr. Dorrell died in 1978 and Margaret moved to North Vancouver in 1984. She died in 1985 from cancer. She is survived by one of her family in Toronto and a sister in West Vancouver.
