John Enwright
John James Enwright was born in 1921 and graduated from North Vancouver High School in 1938. In high school he was president of the Students' Council and named to the honour roll as the top academic student of the year.
He graduated from the UCLA School of Optometry in 1942 and entered practice with Ebert Howe in an office in Woodward's Vancouver store. For more than a decade he served as secretary-treasurer for the B.C. Junior Soccer League. In 1972 he retired because of ill health (Parkinson's disease) and died in 1987.
The bursary in his honour was founded in 1987 by Mr. Enwright's sister, Mrs. Pat Lofstedt.
