Luke 8:1-3
Jesus' Followers
1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
Jesus reaches out to everyone...He was a leader, a visible leader...He traveled from village to village teaching...He taught in the public's eye...He did not hide when He taught and what He taught...And He mostly taught about God, while He was on earth...In the times Jesus walked the earth to work with Samaritans, Gentiles, women, and others would have taken courage and been quite different from the other teachers (of His time)...Jesus helped and taught many and He did not care about who we were or where we are or were from...
Unlike many, who are biased and have negative feelings about others who are not like we are -He is not like that...Jesus had no bias on different people...He wants all of us to grow spiritually no matter where you are from, our descent, or whether you are a man or a woman...He wants us all to know God, and more about Him...
