Luke 7:48-50
Jesus Forgives Others
48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Jesus went around forgiving others and He did it naturally, very common-like, in that He has the authority to forgive others...And He forgave and forgives people quickly...Forgiveness seems to be a part of His Nature...
Forgiving is hard for man when it is his turn to forgive, but Jesus had no trouble forgiving others, and it is His moral laws we are breaking...When we think about forgiving, or it comes our turn to forgive and we find it hard, I think if we could think about Jesus at that time then we might be a little better at forgiveness...Because of all the sinning in the world and believing that is against Him and His Nature, then He could find it just as hard to forgive us, but He does not...He knows that forgiveness is the right thing to do and is a part of loving others...When we think about forgiveness, it is a form of love...
