... It used to be customary in every Jewish home to have a "Korban Mincha" Siddur. And every home had one! And that was because, in those days the boys and girls did not go to school - they learned from their mothers, grandmothers, and older sister or the like; and they needed a Siddur that was written in a language which they understood - and besides for translating the Siddur, the Korban Mincha Siddur also included the laws on how to properly salt meat, among many other laws. Unfortunately in this generation (and specifically in this country) there are many Jewish households in which there is no one who knows how to properly salt meat!
