There is a Halachah in Shulchan Aruch that one should not drink water B’sha’as Hatekufah (four specific time periods throughout the year, the two equinoxes and the two solstices, which mark when the seasons of Tishrei, Teves, Nissan and Tammuz begin), since it is a Sakanah (danger). Any foods or beverages that are placed under a bed, even if they are enclosed in a vessel made of iron, a Ruach Ra'ah (evil spirit) rests on them and it is prohibited to partake of them. This ruling is cited by the Tur and Shulchan (Y.D. 116:5) Aruch as normative halacha. For more on this read here:
