Joint Base Cabot Air Station (JBCAS) Inspector General (IG) Office
The JBCAS Inspector General Office serves to promote integrity, accountability, and excellence throughout the installation. The IG provides a safe, confidential channel for individuals to report fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and violations of policy or ethical standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive and investigate complaints regarding base operations, leadership, and personnel conduct.
Conduct independent inspections and assessments.
Provide assistance and guidance to all personnel — active duty, reserve, civilian, and contractors.
Safeguard the rights of individuals and protect against reprisal.

Inspector General Investigations Division - JBCAS
The JBCAS IG Investigations Division conducts impartial investigations into allegations of misconduct, reprisal, fraud, waste, and abuse, ensuring accountability and protection of whistleblowers.
Core IG Investigation Services:
Allegations of command misconduct or abuse of authority
Reprisal and retaliation complaints
Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) reporting and investigation
Substantiation and resolution tracking
Management of IG complaints (formal and informal channels)
Whistleblower Protection Policy:
Personnel reporting wrongdoing are protected under DoD policies and federal law.
Retaliation or reprisal against whistleblowers is strictly prohibited and will be investigated.

EO Office Responsibilities:
Complaint intake and resolution of unlawful discrimination and harassment concerns.
Climate assessments and unit training.
Special Observances coordination (MLK Day, Women’s History Month, etc.)
Proactive advising to leadership on building positive work environments.
Reporting an Issue:
Individuals may report complaints directly to the EO Office without fear of reprisal.
