99th Communications Flight (99 CF) - Joint Base Cabot Air Station

The 99th Communications Flight (99 CF) delivers cyber security, communications infrastructure, classified and unclassified network operations, and radio frequency management for all JBCAS missions.

Primary Services:

• Base Network Operations (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS as applicable)

• Telephone and VoIP services

• Classified Communications Systems (Secure Video Teleconferencing, Red Switch)

• Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum management and two-way radio support

• Information Assurance / Cybersecurity compliance enforcement

• Communications Security (COMSEC) material issuance and control

User Support Services:

• Help Desk ticketing and dispatch

• Secure device issuance (STE phones, SIPR tokens)

• Email account creation and maintenance

JBCAS Installation Command Post (CP)

The JBCAS Command Post serves as the central command and control (C2) facility for emergency management, operational status reporting, and Wing Commander support.

Core Responsibilities:

• Emergency and Routine Reporting (OPREP-3s, Situational Reports)

• Crisis Action Team (CAT) Activation

• Giant Voice Mass Notification Operations

• Emergency Action (EA) Message Processing

• Recall Roster Management and Initiation

Alerting Capabilities:

• Base-Wide Notifications for Severe Weather, Security Incidents, and Exercises

• Control of Emergency Alert Systems (Giant Voice, AtHoc, Sirens)
