The JBCAS Family Support and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Office provides programs and services to enhance the quality of life for military families and personnel stationed at the installation.

Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) - Joint Base Cabot Air Station
The EFAC serves as the centralized point of coordination and support during family-impacting emergencies, including natural disasters, mass casualty incidents, and deployments.

Family Accountability Tracking (Safe and Accounted For Reports)
Casualty Notification and Assistance Coordination
Emergency Travel Assistance for Affected Families
Grief Counseling and Survivor Support
Legal, Financial, and Housing Referral Services during crisis
Activation:
The EFAC is activated during base-wide emergencies or when directed by the Wing Commander.

Child Development Center (CDC) - Joint Base Cabot Air Station
The JBCAS Child Development Center provides accredited childcare services for children of active duty military members, DoD civilians, and eligible contractors.

Full-day care (6 weeks to 5 years old)

The JBCAS Youth Center provides structured programs, educational activities, and recreational events for children and teens from military and DoD civilian families.

Base Veterinary Clinic - Joint Base Cabot Air Station
The JBCAS Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) provides medical care and wellness services for authorized privately owned animals (POAs) belonging to active-duty personnel, retirees, and dependents.
Services Offered:
Routine wellness exams and vaccinations
Health certificates for PCS travel
Minor sick call appointments (space available)
Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention
Microchipping
Limitations:
Emergency and surgical services are NOT available; clients will be referred to civilian providers if needed.

Must present a valid DoD ID card

The JBCAS Child and Youth Sports Office organizes competitive and recreational athletic programs for base youth to promote fitness, teamwork, and community engagement.
