Mike has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Arts in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University. He joined the Marines, which took him around the world from Iraq to Somalia. Mike lives in East Cobb with his wife Judy. They have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.

Under his leadership, the County has adopted measures to bring business to Cobb County and to have them remain here. These actions include incentives for businesses large and small; concierge services that introduce business opportunities in the County; innovation awards for entrepreneurs; “one stop” shopping for developers applying for required permits; and a close relationship with the State of Georgia and the Cobb Chamber to find locations and for prospective businesses.

Larry was born in Atlanta, graduated from East Atlanta High School and later General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and from Georgia State University with Master of Business Administration. He worked for 15 years for GM in Atlanta has held positions of responsibility in engineering, supervision of skilled trades, general management, sales and marketing, and sales management.

Fitz Johnson is a businessman, a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Army, and a long-time Cobb County resident. He has vast experiences in building and leading companies as well as non-profits, driving growth and producing positive results. Fitz is an active member of Cobb County and has served on several leadership boards, including KSU Board of Trustees.

• Keep taxes low by budgeting and balancing priorities.

• Fix traffic congestion through signal efficiency and better roads/infrastructure

• Enhance public safety and support police and first responders

• Opposed to incorporating East Cobb to prevent tax inflation

• Transportation: Invest in Cobb infrastructure; cost-effective solutions that improve mobility.

• Public Safety: Maintain well trained and well funded first-responders and law enforcement

• Preserve our community values and keep high-density development in check. Uphold the current Land Use Plan.

• Oppose cityhood for East Cobb. Additional layers of government is not an answer.
