Candidate Consolidated
May 24th | How the Georgia Primary Works
The first step in the voting process is always to register! Although it is too late to register to vote in the upcoming primary election, you may still register for future elecitons, including possible runoff primary elections in June. Click here for a more comprehensive list of elections deadlines, and click the button below to register to vote online!
If you plan to vote in person...
When you arrive at your polling station, you will be allowed to request one ballot, a Republican or Democratic ballot (or Non-Partisan).
For either the Democrat or Republican Ballot, only candidates registered with the specified party will appear on your ballot.
ALL voters will be asked to vote on a Non-Partisan ballot in addition to their selected party ballot. The "Non-Partisan" ballot is the ballot for judicial offices and includes both Democratic and Republican judge candidates on the ballot.
If you requested an Absentee Ballot...
On your application for an absentee ballot, you requested either a Democrat, Republican, or Non-Partisan Ballot.
For either the Democrat or Republican Ballot, only candidates registered with the specified party will appear on your ballot.
If you selected the Non-Partisan option, you will ONLY receive a ballot for judicial candidates.
ALL absentee voters will receive a Non-Partisan ballot in addition to their selected party ballot (if they selected one). The "Non-Partisan" ballot is the ballot for judicial offices and includes both Democratic and Republican judge candidates on the ballot.

If your district is not listed in your party's drop down menu, it means that there are no candidates from your party running for the position in your district. The position will not appear on any of your primary ballots (either your absentee ballot or the ballot you will view on May 24th).
How to Navigate This Site
Select the tab for the partisan ballot which you requested or plan to select (Democrat or Republican) or the Non-Partisan ballot.
Navigate positions in each ballot by selecting your voting district for US House, State Senate, and State House of Representatives.
If you don't know your voting district for any of these offices, use the links/Find Your District Pages provided to locate your representative.
After you have selected your districts, you will be able to see the candidates running for office in your area .
For positions varying by county, select your position of choice in the drop down menu, then select your county. County positions include candidates for the following positions:
District Attorney
Sheriff
County Commission Chairman
Tax Commissioner
The Non-Partisan ballot, as it is for judicial candidates, can be navigated similarly. Either select the position about which you're interested reading (GA Supreme and Court of Appeals) or select your county in the drop down. You will then be able to choose from judicial county-level candidates which include:
Superior Court
State Court
Probate Court
Chief Magistrate
