Judge Myra Dixon of the Fulton County State Court graduated from Tennessee State University and Howard University law school. She began her legal career in 1978 as a civilian attorney with the Navy in Washington and later served as a public defender and an assistant U.S. attorney. She then spent 13 years practicing law at Thomas, Kennedy, Sampson & Patterson, becoming a partner in 1992.

A native Atlantan, Patsy Y. Porter is a Fulton County State Court Judge who presides over civil cases that involve medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability and automobile accidents. As a dedicated Atlanta volunteer, she is a member of the Judicial Qualifications Commission, Chairperson of the Board of Community Concerns Inc., member of the Advisory Board of Atlanta Legal Aid Society and past president, member and past president of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), among others. Judge Porter has received numerous awards and commendations for her work in the community. Among them are the Pinnacle Leadership Award, Young Family YMCA Volunteer of the Year Award, the Leah Ward Sears Award for Distinction in the Profession, and Jurist of the Year Award. She received her law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University. Judge Porter is married and has two grandchildren.
An Atlanta native, Tailor received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his law degree from the University of Kentucky. After six years as an associate at Troutman Sanders, he worked for two years as an assistant DeKalb County solicitor, then almost four years for the secretary of state, including a stint heading the election division. In 2010, Gov. Sonny Perdue appointed Tailor to the Fulton County State Court.
