Sondra Rowan

Sondra is a lifelong resident of Cobb County, a proud product of the Cobb County Educational System, and has had to opportunity to serve her community both in her work and volunteering. She is a conservative businesswoman with over 20 years of experience in leadership with proven results. Sondra also has direct experience managing and leading two of the main departments within the Clerk of Superior Court (The Board of Equalization (handles your right to appeal your property taxes) and The Real Estate Department (handles all real estate matters, including your title and mortgage)). She is a member of Mt. Paran Church where she has served in various roles; bible schoolteacher, Crown Ministry Leader and Powerhouse leader.

Kimberly Childs

Childs has an unusual but commendabl background in the justice department — working her way up through a variety of positions in the justice system and putting herself through law school — may have resonated with voters. Judge Childs graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law. At Georgia State, she was on the editorial board of The Law Review and received numerous academic honors. Before attending law school, Judge Childs worked as a guard at the DeKalb County Jail and later as a paralegal at a small law firm in Cobb County. Childs is married with two children and works in private practice at her own law firm.

Angela Brown has been an attorney for over 30 years. She has prosecuted criminals, counseled businesses, represented families in need and defended people who otherwise had no voice. Before her appointment to the bench, Angela Brown successfully ran her own litigation firm, specializing in criminal, family, personal injury and guardian ad litem law. She attends Destiny World Church.

Reuben Green (Incumbent)

Judge Reuben Green has served as a Superior Court Judge in Cobb County for ten years and is currently the Chief Judge of the Cobb County Superior Court. Prior to becoming a Superior Court Judge in 2010, Judge Green served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, an Assistant District Attorney in the Cobb Judicial Circuit, and as an attorney with the law firm of King & Spalding. He is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. He has been a foster parent for more than 15 children and enjoys coaching children’s soccer, basketball and baseball. He is married and has two children.

Kellie Hill

Judge Kellie Hill grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Rutgers University School of Law. Judge Hill moved to Georgia after law school and began her professional career. Prior to her appointment as a judge in the Cobb County Magistrate Court in 2016, she practiced as a trial attorney in the public and private sectors. She's also served as a prosecuting attorney in Fulton and Dekalb counties. Before retiring from prosecution, Judge Hill served as the Chief Trial Assistant District Attorney, Director of the Public Integrity Unit.

Daniele C. Johnson

Daniele Johnson’s career actually began before she graduated from law school. In her 3rd year of law school, she became court certified to represent victims of domestic violence. Upon graduating, she went to work for the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office. In 1999, she moved to West Cobb and began her career as a family law attorney. She has been in the trenches alongside Cobb County families for the last 21 years, handling family law. She and her husband, Erich, have been part of the West Cobb Community since 1999, where they are raising their three children within the Cobb County school system.

Tain Kell

Judge Kell was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue on December 10, 2007 as the tenth Superior Court Judge of the Cobb Judicial Circuit. From 1987-1997, Judge Kell served in the Georgia Attorney General’s Office, practicing in the area of civil litigation. He was in the Litigation Section at Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta. In 2000, he joined the Marietta law firm of Brock, Clay, Calhoun & Rogers, P.C. where he became a partner/shareholder until his appointment in 2007. Judge Kell practiced law for over 20 years in courtrooms across the State of Georgia, including both state and federal courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court, all three federal district courts, and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court. He and his wife, Sheri, live in East Cobb with their son. They are members of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church where Judge Kell serves as a deacon.

Greg Poole

Judge Poole was elected to the Cobb County Superior Court in July of 2012, taking office January 1, 2013. Prior to joining the Superior Court, Judge Poole served on the Cobb County Juvenile Court for nearly ten years. He attended Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, where he received his juris doctor in 1985. After graduating law school, Judge Poole practiced law for eighteen years. His areas of concentration included criminal, civil, family, and education law. He represented the Marietta Board of Education from 1990 until his appointment to the Juvenile Court. He is married to Lucia Poole, who is an Assistant Principal for the Cobb County School System. Together, they have five children. They are members of Marietta First United Methodist Church.

Jason Marbutt

Jason Marbutt is a Senior Assistant District Attorney with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, Adjunct Professor at Emory School of Law, Chairman of the Cobb Elder Abuse Task Force (CEATF), coach for the Walton High School Mock Trial Team, soccer coach, former softball coach, former wrestling coach, father of 3, and a former high school and elementary school teacher. In 2018, he founded and organized the Justice for Elderly and Disabled Individuals Multidisciplinary Team (J.E.D.I. MDT), a group effort of numerous agencies serving elderly and disabled individuals in Cobb County. Jason was born in Austell, GA and now resides in Cobb County with his wife, Olivia, and their three children. He has a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Emory School of Law.

Gregory Shenton

Gregory Shenton is an experienced attorney who has served and represented small business owners, as well as Fortune 500 companies and individuals, for 20 years. While attending Emory University’s School of Law on a full scholarship, Greg served as a Vice President of the Student Bar Association, President of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and President of the Graduate Senate. Greg graduated from Emory Law School in 2000 and was awarded the Dean’s Public Service Award for his community contributions. Greg started his career with a large firm in Atlanta. In 2012, Greg resigned from his firm to start his own firm on the Marietta Square, committed to representing Cobb County small business owners. Greg is married to Kara, a teacher at Smyrna Elementary School, and they have two children: the whole family attends Smyrna First United Methodist Church.
