Gregory A. Adams (Inc.)

First DeKalb County Judge to have a building named in his honor: The Gregory A. Adams Juvenile Justice Center was unanimously designated by the DeKalb County Commissioners on April 10, 2007

Tangela M. Barrie (Inc.)

Judge Barrie, a 1997 Stetson Law alumna, is the youngest Superior Court judge ever elected to the circuit court in DeKalb County, Georgia. Elected in 2008 at the age of 35, Judge Barrie handles felony cases ranging from theft to murder and a civil case load that includes adoptions, divorces, and more. In 2015, she was selected as Chief Judge for DeKalb County Superior Court and continues to serve as the presiding judge of Division 10 of the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. The Hon. Tangela M. Barrie received the Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Public Service Award during the annual Inns of Court Banquet at Stetson University College of Law on Feb. 5, 2020. The prestigious Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Public Service Award recognizes individuals who have provided outstanding contributions to public service, the justice system, and the community.

Linda Warren Hunter (Inc.)

Judge Hunter has been a DeKalb County employee for over twenty-five (25) years. In the early 1980s Judge Hunter served as an Assistant Solicitor and Assistant DeKalb County District Attorney. While serving as an Assistant District Attorney (under District Attorney Robert E. Wilson) Judge Hunter never lost a case at trial or on appeal. Judge Hunter is an honors graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She received her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. While a law student at UGA, Judge Hunter was renowned for her moot court skills. She was a finalist in the Talmadge Moot Court competition, a member of the ABA moot court team, and coached the Wagner moot court team.

Stacey K. Hydrick (Inc.)

Judge Stacey Hydrick has served the citizens of DeKalb County as a judge for nearly a decade — first as a State Court judge for more than 8 years, and now on the Superior Court since 2019. Judge Hydrick began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Augusta Judicial Circuit where she prosecuted felonies and misdemeanors in Richmond, Columbia and Burke Counties. She went on to work as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Georgia Attorney General's Special Prosecution Division, where she focused on combating public corruption cases. She was later recruited to be a Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, where she started the office's first Public Integrity Unit. She has been married to her husband, Karl Hydrick, for more than twenty-five years. They are the proud parents of two sons and two rescue dogs.

Shondeana C. Morris

Judge Shondeana Morris was recently appointed to the DeKalb County Superior Court – by Governor Brian Kemp on June 17, 2019. Prior to Judge Morris’ appointment, she served as a DeKalb County State Court Judge. She graduated from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar that same year. After graduating law school, Judge Morris served as an Assistant Solicitor in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1999, she joined the Fulton County Office of the District Attorney and was promoted to Deputy District Attorney. In recognition of her outstanding trial expertise, Judge Morris received the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation Trial Advocacy Award in 2009. Judge Morris is married to attorney Joe Morris, III. They are the proud parents of two young children and are foster parents under Georgia Division of Family and Children Services.

Roderick Bridges

Bridges is a Former Judge in DeKalb County, has over 21 years of legal experience (including including 13 years a judge), and is a lifelong Public Servant. Several articles have been published that highlight Bridges legal work, including "The Power of a Hand-up: Ending the School to Prison Pipeline”, “Mentoring: Breaking the Cycle of Low Expectations”, and “Roderick Bridges Fights Human Trafficking”. Bridges is an active member with the 100 Black Men of DeKalb, Vice President of the Decatur Lion Club, Leadership DeKalb 2013 Graduate, and currently serves on the Justice Reform Committee for the DeKalb NAACP. Bridges is a graduate of Xavier University, earned a Master in Public Health Degree from Tulane University, and earned a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University in Missouri. Bridges is a proud father of two; a daughter in the US Navy; and a son who’s a rising 10th grader.

Aaron Chausmer

Aaron is a respected attorney, husband, father, and long-time resident of the City of Dunwoody in DeKalb County. Aaron Chausmer brings more than two decades of experience, with a strong background in commercial and business litigation. An active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Dunwoody Bar Association, Aaron has acted as a fee arbitrator, ​as ​a mentor in its​ ​Transition Into Law Practice program, and as a member of the State Bar’s Law Practice Management Program and Business Court Committees. Aaron first came to Atlanta in 1991 to attend Emory University. Upon graduation, he attended Boston University School of Law, where he was selected for the International Law Journal and chosen to be a Case and Note Editor. When not practicing law, Aaron and his wife, Jaimie, enjoy world travel, cheering for Atlanta United​, and spending time with their wonderful children, Leah and Asher.

Vincent C. Crawford

Judge Vincent C. Crawford has dedicated 25 years of service to the citizens of DeKalb County, 15 of them as a judge. He currently serves as Chief Judge of DeKalb County Juvenile Court for the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. Crawford is currently a member of Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the American Judges Association, the DeKalb Bar Association, and the past President of the DeKalb Lawyers Association.

Yolanda C. Parker-Smith

Yolanda currently serves as a Senior Attorney at the Office of the Public Defender. She has dedicated 19+ years to career building, managing, and strengthening operations, teams, processes, and programs that have driven change, improved quality of life, and protected individuals and families. In addition to being a liscenced lawyer in Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts, she is a member of Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Georgia Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, DeKalb NAACP, and Columbia Drive United Methodist Church. She received her law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Florida School of Law.

Melinda "Mindy" Pillow

Prior to founding her own firm, Mindy was an associate with Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia and then Davis Matthews and Quigley, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia. At Kilpatrick Townsend, she was the 2010 Pro Bono Associate of the Year and focused her pro bono work on assisting lower income clients with family law issues, including adoption and child custody. At Davis Matthews & Quigley, P.C., Mindy practiced exclusively in the area of Domestic Relations and Family Law. Mindy was raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Memphis, cum laude, with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in English in 1996. In 2005, she received her J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law. She resides in Decatur, Georgia with her husband, Kenny, a math teacher, their two human children, Jackson and Madelyn, and their two canine children.
