This is a band I have never tried. It is more affected by water vapour than 10GHz.

Some take it very seriously and run very high power from travelling wave tubes or similar.

I see there are low cost Doppler radar modules a bit like the HB100 units on 10GHz although I do not know if these are suitable or not.
