Line of sight

I only had one QSO with speech and that was on a line-of-sight path. This was over about 11km to Bernie G4HJW/P. This was using homemade optical gear and optics. Both of us were /P.

With Fresnel lenses and higher power LEDs much greater distances should be possible..
