Many years ago a friend in a very ordinary house on a very ordinary housing estate was struck by lightning destroying much of his wiring. Since then I have been very cautious when there is anything remotely close. If there is a chance of a close storm I disconnect everything: PSUs, mains plugs, rigs, PCs and antennas.
