Burwell Museum
We are lucky to live right next door to Burwell Museum and windmill. It is probably one of the best, if not the best, local museum in the UK. The windmill is 200 years old and is fully restored and working. We can see the windmill (about 20m away) from the kitchen and lounge. It is literally right next door.
The museum is vast and is housed in several buildings There is something here for all ages. It is definitely not a fusty old museum!
A number of special events are organised, as well as visits for schools or other groups.
The museum and windmill are open Thursdays, Sundays and bank holidays from Easter until late October. The museum cafe is open on Mondays too.
It is well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed!
