Parking Meters

More "strange hobby" than design, this is my collection of notes left on broken parking meters.

The fascination with these notes stems from problem-solving or the impromptu methods used to connect the note to the meter and from the notes themselves which are succinct pleads of mercy in which the writer must explain the situation and ask for the parking attendants understanding.

Connecting techniques include adhesives, insertions, connectors and wrappings. the notes themselves are often profound and might apply to the metaphysical ("no god") or perhaps to unrequited loves ("takes money; gives no time").

Sadly (for this collector) the parking meter as we know is giving way to stand alone parking kiosks (seen in europe for many years) from which motorists purchase tickets that are placed on the dashboard.
