A little gem of heartwarming New Year Honours news - congratulations to Peter Offord Davies who was included in the New Year's Honours List, for contributions to childcare and education. Also, congratulations to "Growing Together" - the intergenerational gardening volunteers at Jedburgh Grammar Campus for being shortlisted as Best Volunteer Group of the Year with Volunteer Centre Borders.
Peter Offord Davies has received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for his work as a reading volunteer at Dean Valley Community Primary School and is also the oldest recipient of an honour at 100-years-old.
Growing Together volunteers were runners up for Volunteer Team of the Year in Scottish Borders. The volunteers range from 'nearly 50' to 86 and take part in gardening and grounds activities with children attending the 3-18 yrs campus school.

Excellence Awards in IG Practice are presented annually at the Generations Working Together Conference and E. Lothian has a great track record! Closing date for nominations has passed - did you apply? Thinking ahead, you may find this useful to consider tracking and sharing a current project for future years. Guidance Presentation

Ron Coleman (co-founder) has also taken part in the Alexa Campaign - sharing his experience of using technology to support his day-to-day life.
