The East Lothian Intergenerational Network has been a focus for joint development - with support from short-term funding - to help regroup across East Lothian and progress intergenerational approaches, as all recover from the pandemic and adapt to new circumstances.
The work recognises that everyone experienced the pandemic according to their own circumstances - many were increasingly isolated throughout and even now are still unable to return to activities and day-to-day living as experienced pre-pandemic.
Our joint understanding of the benefits of intergenerational practice note that this approach throughout East Lothian has the potential to re-connect, strengthen communities and benefit those who live within each one.
