WELCOME to East Lothian Intergenerational Network
October offering:
We were off on another outing!
On Wednesday 12th October we headed to Queen Margaret University - QMU.
Those able to join met with Patrick Boxall, a lecturer there - exploring intergenerational learning opportunities on site and hearing about the developments to support this for wider community.
We also heard from Human Rights advocate Clare MacGillivray, Director of Making Rights Real in Scotland and Co-Founder of Fa'side Women and Girls Group.
Clare is a passionate advocate for the power of Community and Human Rights activated at grassroots level - seeing that they go hand-in-hand. Clare shared the journey of Fa'side Womens Group into the intergenerational group it is today.
As a treat, Lynn who is also a core member of FWGG, Fantoosh Art, shared information around her offer in E. Lothian of "Sketch and Wander" and other wellbeing / rights-based art work.
A buffet of insights and experiences about what this journey has been like, and hopefully nibbles of inspiration too - certainly food for thought!
