Overview

Putting away toys or materials following an activity and placing belongings into cubbies after lunch or recess is an important part of the Kindergarten routine. Encouraging your child to tidy up at home can help prepare them for this responsibility at school.

Try it at home!

• Encourage your child to practice cleaning up, just as they will have to do in their Kindergarten classroom.

• Make sure designated spots / "homes" for toys and clothes are within reach to support your child to independently tidy up.

• Clean-up songs can make putting things away a little more fun!
