The task of folding and tearing paper is a great task to help little ones develop their fine motor skills. As your child enters school, they will use these skills often during arts and crafts time!
Explicit practice here is a great start. Make it fun and practice folding papers in half to make cards for loved ones or paper structures by folding and gluing!
If you are giving gifts to loved ones, have your child wrap up the present with some bright wrapping paper.
Practice crumpling up papers into little balls and play “trash can basketball”. See who can get their ball into the trash can 10 times in a row!
