Period 2 8:56 – 9:38 - 6th grade Spanish in Ms Wrights’s room 311
Period 3 -10:12 – 10:54 7th grade Spanish will be in Mr Monihan’s room
Period 4 10:56 – 11:38 world cultures will be in the computer lab
6th grade Spanish, Period 2 8:56 – 9:38: Class E white days/ Class D blue days
Same lesson as yesterday for the other group…All their materials are found in their folders. Each day, please pass out the manila folders that are located in the cubbie in my office. They are labled blue and white days…Students have colored their folders so they should be able to find them easily if you bring them out into the classroom. Make sure they put all their materials back into their folders and put the folders back into the cubbie for the following day.
Activity I – Please have students draw and label a town with at least 12 places in the town…It can either an overhead view or a side view.
Activity II – (assuming they finish with their drawing) Please have them play flyswatter game on the white board. Basically, you write 15 or so places on the board and divide the class in 2 teams. Then call out a place in English, and the first person who swats the place in Spanish gets a point for his/her team.
7th Grade Spanish, Period 3 -10:12 – 10:54: Mr Monihan’s room
Students are still working with being to identify foods…today, they are going to associate flavor attributes to the foods. As they come in, please pass out the small white strips of paper to each student…as they come in they should respond to the two questions on the first slide.

Activity I - First slide- Pregunta del día:…collect and then go over the answer
Activity II – Go over the agenda (slide #2)
Activity III – Have them go over the vocab of meat and vegetables…this time they sould try to say the blank one, then show them the one with the word to reinforce
Activity IV – Los 4 rincones – see directions on the slide…they know how to play anyway.
Activity V – If you could read the dialog first while they read and listen and they can practice twice reading the dialog in pairs or groups of 3.
Activity VI…If you still have time….Have them begin to translate the dialog. Pass out lined paper…there are two choices on the slide.
Activity 1 –
Enrichment world cultures Period 4 10:56 – 11:38 in the computer lab which is on the first floor inside the library.
Students should go to the World Culture section of my website and pull up the assignment for learning about a region or a state. This is a two- three day project to have them compare the culture of another region (or state) in the US to Vermont. You will be in the computer lab for both days, and a third if you need to be.
