For this activity you will need a group of 3-4 people and a deck of cards. Take all the kings, queens, jacks and 10's out of the deck of cards. shuffle the cards and then turn over two . The first person to say what number it is wins those two cards. So for instance if the dealer turns over a 3 and 4 you would say trente-quatre if you are in French class or treinta y cuatro if you are in Spanish class. Keep going until the deck is out. The person who has won the most cards then becomes the next dealer. After doing just 2 cards at a time play at least part of a game where you turn over three cards so you are saying numbers in the 100's. (for a real challenge try 4 cards). Play for 20 minutes...it really helps practice saying numbers quickly.
