6th grade Spanish, Period 2 8:56 – 9:38: Class E white days/ Class F blue days
All their materials are found in their folders. Each day, please pass out the manila folders that are located in the cubbie in my office. Students have colored their folders so they should be able to find them easily if you bring them out into the classroom. Make sure they put all their materials back into their folders and put the folders back into the cubbie for the following day. Students in each group will be creating their family trees (and coloring them) for the two days you will see them (they only come every other day) Markers are located in the purple hannaford’s bag under the cubbie table. (do not confuse this with the purple hannaford’s bag that has the white boards and white board markers)
Activity 1 : Students will have their family tree projects in their folders with the notes needed. I will have passed out the project description, notes and rubric before vacation and gone over the project beforehand. That said, there are copies of the notes, project description and rubric in the 6th grade Spanish Page on my school website if you need to print any more up.

On the first day they will be working on their projects describing their family members (or a made up family) By the middle of the second day, they should be close to finishing the written part of their project and should start to practice. They will be presenting their family trees when I get back, so they should practice saying the sentences they have written. I have also included a set of “numbers notes” so that when they say ages they will be able to say them in Spanish. If they truly need more than 2 classes, they may have it, but I want them to be aware that they will need to “practice” saying their presentation 5-10 times before they really have it down.
7th Grade Spanish, Period 3 -10:12 – 10:54: We will meet all four days in the computer lab. Students will be doing a project on “mi estado Vermont”. The project, rubric and exemplar are in the 7th grade assignments folder located at:
https://sites.google.com/site/edmundsspanish/assignments
and are included as instructions to you. Students also have a copy of the assignment, and all notes are located on the website as well under vocabulary. On Monday, if students are finished with their writing by Monday, if they are making a booklet, they may do so. Please bring down the purple grocery bag from my office that has the markers, and paper so students can create their booklets if they like.
Enrichment Spanish Period 4 10:56 – 11:35 (This class will also be in the computer lab for all four days)
This group of 13 students (although the number varies pretty regularly) is a world culture class. They have chosen a country to study and will be creating a presentation on their country of choice which answers the questions on the assignment sheet. The assignment sheet and also the project rubric are located in the Spanish enrichment folder on the website at:
