Overview:

These artifacts are examples of ways I stay current with research through my writing. Before I write a blog, I always research the topic. I like to examine my findings so that I'm giving my readers practical and useful information.

Reflection:

Researching gives me the ability to self-learn and gain a deeper understanding of the topics I investigate. It allows me to find out important things, make connections, and discover fallacies and/or truths that exist.

Creating this artifact has made me realize the power of research as I look to improve teacher practice and student achievement through my writing. Whether or not you’re already an expert on your topic, it’s vital that you research to get accurate information. Ways in which I research include: 1) doing targeted Internet searches; 2) finding experts to interview; and 3) using my PLN to find first hand experiences.

Artifact: My Presentation Website

Overview:

This artifact is my presentation website. I have been curating and sharing all of my presentations for years now. Before I give a presentation or conduct a workshop, I always research the topic. I want to ensure that I giving my participants the most relevant and accurate information there is.

Reflection:

I like to make sure I understand the topic I'm presenting well. I make every effort to give my participants the most accurate and up-to-date information as possible.

This artifact is important to me because it showcases the thoughtful planning and research that I have put into each of my presentations.
