teaching one another

Artifact: Teaching Smackdown Activity

Overview:

This artifact is an activity I had participants in my workshop do in which they taught one another. Their task was to get into groups and select a digital formative assessment tool to teach other groups about.

Reflection:

This artifact has a profound effect on my students because it engages them and allows them to take an active part in their own learning. It also increases their retention of the content and it makes the process fun. I have been using student-teaching-student activities in my workshops for some time and they are always a hit.

getting input from students

Artifact: Going Digital with Formative Assessment Form

Overview:

This artifact is a Google Form I use in order to get input from my participants. I get them to complete the form in order to see which tools they are familiar with or to see if they can list other tools they have used.

Reflection:

I love getting input from my participants by creating surveys for them. Many times I learn from them by what they put into the form. In addition, I take the results of the form and share them with everyone, so we can all learning from each other.
