Artifact: Track your Words with Harmony Beads
Overview:
This artifact is an example of how I incorporated making into one of my workshops.
Reflection:
For this activity, participants created harmony beads. Harmony beads are useful for so many things. Since this session was on vocabulary acquisitions, the participants used the beads to track their progress with vocabulary words they knew the definition to. We then discussed how to incorporate them into the classroom with students. The activity was a hit!
Artifacts: Classroom iPad Management
Overview:
This artifact is iPad classroom management resource website I created for a training.
Reflection:
I am currently working with a middle school for the 2018-2019 school year on integrating iPads into the classroom. They are in their first year of implementation and I am meeting with them monthly to by grade level and content areas. I have given them tips on how to manage the iPads in the classroom as well as reviewed the Classroom 2.0 app with them. The Classroom 2.0 app will allow them to control their student's iPads.
Artifact: Technology Impact Assessment Form
Overview:
These artifact is a form that I created when I was an Instructional Technology Coordinator. The purpose of the form was to manage all the technology coming into the district.
Reflection:
One problem we discovered at the district is that campuses were purchasing various types of equipment, software, online subscriptions, etc that without district knowledge. Many of the purchases were not in line with districts goals and couldn't be supported. Therefore, I developed this form that all campus personnel had to complete prior to purchasing technology. On the form they had to indicate how the technology would make an impact in the classroom and how it aligned with the district's improvement plan. This really help standardize on technology in the district.

Reflection:
As a Director of Professional Development for TCEA, I have the opportunity of overseeing all online courses developed in Canvas. The two artifacts above are examples of online programs that participants have one year to complete.
