Artifacts:
Overview:
These artifacts are from a workshop I conducted on using formative assessment strategies and digital tools in the classroom. I created an eBook as part of this workshop so teachers would have a resource to access.
Reflection:
These artifacts are important because they help teachers assess students using technology so that teachers know how they need to modify instruction. The great thing about this workshop is that teachers gave input and ideas on a Google Sheet on how they are currently using technology for formative assessment.
Artifact: Five Fabulous Formative Assessments for your Classroom
Overview:
This artifact is a blog post I wrote to encourage teachers to incorporate formative assessment strategies in their classroom.
Reflection:
Without the regular use of formative assessment, or checks for understanding, how are teachers to know what each student needs in order to be successful in the classroom? It was my hope that this blog post would inspire teachers to conduct exit tickets, quick writes, and more in their classroom.
Artifact: Alexa Blueprints Empower Teachers and Students
Overview:
This artifact is a blog post I wrote about how teachers can create quizzes using the Amazon Echo.
Reflection:
Amazon is making it possible for educators to create their own Alexa skills easy-to-use templates. Teachers can create quizzes in minutes by filling in just a couple of blanks. It’s a great way to create an interactive formative assessment and promote student learning through engagement.
