Artifact: Chrome Tips & Tricks Infographic
Overview:
This artifact is a representation of how I model to my colleagues the importance of licensing work. It is also a representation of how I model the use of infographics to convey helpful information for educators. Some of my colleagues have since started creating their own infographics as result.
Reflection:
Creating this artifact has made me realize how essential it is to model and have conversations about the importance of licencing your work. I have encouraged my colleague to do the same with the work they produce. In addition, my infographics have inspired my colleague Miguel Guhlin to create his own infographics. He even offered a session at a recent conference on how to create infographics.
Artifact: Considerations for Selecting and Designing Digitally Supported Assessments
Overview:
This artifact is an assessment of the digital tool, Flipgrid. It portrays how I model evaluation of technology tools before I use them.
Reflection:
This artifact is powerful in that is models how technology tools should be evaluated before use. Many times educators will use technology tools without first evaluating them. There are many items to consider before using digital tools in the classroom, such as: 1) how will the tool support learning objectives; 2) what student data is being collected; and 3) does the tool offer instructional feedback.
