Artifacts:
Overview:
This artifacts are iPad app activities that align with core content area standards, which in Texas are the TEKS.
Reflection:
I am currently working with a middle school for the 2018-2019 school year on integrating iPads into the classroom. They are in their first year of implementation and I am meeting with them monthly to by grade level and content area. My coaching sessions involve aligning iPad activities with the content standards.
Artifact: Curriculum Design (Four-part webinar series) | Presentation
Overview:
This artifact is a webinar series I have conducted as part of the TCEA Certification Programs. The webinar series offers an in-depth examination of the difference between curriculum and instruction. Participants analyze standards and discuss curriculum development. In addition, they go through a brief curriculum revision process using a UbD lesson template.
Reflection:
This artifact is extremely important because curriculum is the heart of any school and/or district. Curriculum matters because of its impact on students. While conducting this webinar, its good to see those eye-opening moments that my participants have, especially when creating lessons aligned to the standards using the backwards design process.
Artifact: Google-izing the 5E Lesson Model
Overview:
This artifact is a blog entry I wrote about the 5E Lesson Plan Model. The blog highlights content area activities that teachers can incorporate into their classroom that align with Google tools.
Reflection:
I am a fan of the 5E Lesson Plan and enjoy writing about it. It offers a way for teachers to create engaging lessons that incorporate technology as well as showcase student learning. Often times, teachers struggle with how to use technology in the classroom so they appreciate any examples you can provide them that align with their content area.
